Oi! I’m Rod, founder of Beach Stop — and a full-time firefighter based in sunny Queensland.

I was born and raised in the south of Brazil, where summer holidays were all about the beach. Every year, we’d head to the coast and spend full days by the ocean — playing beach tennis, soccer, and volleyball, bringing the dogs, sharing food with family and friends, and laughing with mates from sunrise to sunset. That beach culture wasn’t just a pastime — it was a way of life.

When I moved to Australia, I was blown away by the coastline and the outdoor lifestyle. But I also noticed something surprising — many people didn’t have easy access to the kind of beach gear that makes a full day by the water really comfortable and fun.

That’s what inspired me to start Beach Stop — a way to bring the vibrant, social, and active beach spirit I grew up with to Aussie shores. Whether you're heading to the beach with your family, your mates, or your four-legged companion, we want to make it easier to enjoy the day, stay longer, and have more fun.
